Controller of Examinations, AU:
The Examinations Committee in its meeting dated 14/12/2018 resolved that the following rules for deciding Mrit and Name Correction be followed in future:
Merit Rules
  1. Merit will be decided for certain meritorious candidates whose overall academic performance is proven superior.
  2. A candidate who avails any privilege, like SE, Improvement, Ex-student, Gap/Drop, repeat or re-admission etc. in academic performance, shall not be considered meritorious.
  3. Merit will be decided on Relative positions and not on Absolute RanK Basis.
  4. Merit will be decided separately for every Programme (or a Group of Programs).
  5. Merit will not be decided for any individual  Course, group of courses, streams or branches of a programme.
  6. Top 03 positions will be declared as merit positions for all programs of the University.
  7. In case of Examination patterns where improvement is applicable, the final merit will be decided only after results of second Examination.
  8. A tentative merit may be decided after annual/Semester Examinations(if required).
  9. Respective counters of Examination section will be responsivle for preparing and verifying merits and maintain records.
Guidelines for correction in Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Enrol.No., etc. After admission and before issuance of first mark sheet:
In case a candidate notices any anomaly in Name, father’s Name, mother’s name or enrolment number, he/she must submit only single documentary evidence to the respective counter through the HoD of respective department or through the principal of respective college. The counter In charge will verify and get it corrected by J.R.(Exam.).
After issue of first mark-sheet and before completion of programme:
In case a candidate notices such anomaly on receiving his/her   first mark-sheet he/she must submit his/her mark-sheet in original along with his/her request and documentary  evidences duly forwarded by the Head/Coordinator/Director, Dean of Faculty/Principal of college. The JR (Exam) will be competent to examine documents and allow such corrections after getting clearance from the CoE.
After completion of Programme and within 10 years of Admission:
In case a candidate passes out and wishes such corrections he/she must apply on prescribed proforma and will be examined by the review committee constituted by the controller of Examinations. The committee may allow such corrections. The canididate has to pay a fee of Rs. 100/ (Rupees one hundred only) for any such correction.
After 10 years of admission:
In case of an application for such corrections after 10 years of admission, the Review committee will submit its recommendations before the Vice Chancellor for final approval. A fee of Rs. 100/ (Rupees one hundred only) has to be paid for any such correction.
Note: (i) once the correction is allowed, this becomes responsibility of the respective counter to get such corrections incorporated in records as well as in computer data. Any order passed by the controller of Examination will be treared as part of these guidelines. (ii) In case of change in name/father’s/mother’s name, such changes must be authenticated by the Hon’ble Court of Law.
परीक्षा नियंत्रक, इ0वि0वि0ः
बी0ए0/बी0एस0सी0/बी0काम0 भाग -1, 2 एवं 3, सत्र 2018-19 के भूतपूर्व छात्र/छात्राओं को सूचित किया जाता है कि जो छात्र/छात्रायें अभी तक अपने शुल्क जमा नहीं कर पाये है। वे दिनांक 07 जनवरी से 11 जनवरी, 2019 तक निर्धारित शुल्क सम्बन्धित इकाई में जमा करें। तत्पश्चात शुल्क जमा नहीं किये जायेगें।

1. एम0ए0/एम0एस0सी0 भूगोल सेमेस्टर प्रथम व तृतीय सत्र 2018-19 की प्रयोगात्मक परीक्षायें भूगोल विभाग में प्रथम सेमेस्टर 2018-19 जनवरी 03 व 04, 2019 एवं तृतीय सेमेस्टर जनवरी 07 व 08ए 2019 तथा चतुर्थ सेमेस्टर 2018 की द्वितीय प्रयोगात्मक/अंक सुधार परीक्षा 03 जनवरी 2019 को सम्पन्न होगी।
2. भूगोल विभाग के सभी शोध छात्रों तथा स्नातक व परास्नातक छात्र/छात्राओं को सूचित किया जाता है कि भूगोल विभाग में दिनांक 07/01/2019 को पूर्वाह्न 10ः30 बजे प्रो0 शशिकान्त स्कूल आफ प्लानिंग विद्यानगर आनन्द गुजरात द्वारा नगर नियोजन तथा नियोजन से सम्बन्धित रोजगार के अवसरों पर व्याख्यान देगें। व्याख्यान  में उपस्थित होने का कष्ट करें।

एम0ए0/एम0एस0सी0 गणित 2018-19 (द्वितीय एवं चतुर्थ सेमेस्टर) की कक्षायें विभाग में लगें नोटीस बोर्ड पर समय सारणी के अनुसार शुक्रवार, दिनांक 04/01/2019 से प्रारम्भ होगी।

1. एल0एल0एम0 तृतीय सेमेस्टर सत्र 2018-19 के विषय Legal education and Research Methodlogy की परीक्षा जो दिनांक 19/12/2018 को होने वाली थी अब यह परीक्षा 16/01/2019 अपरान्ह 2ः30 बजे से 5ः30 बजे तक सम्पन्न होगी और एलएल0एम0 की अन्य परीक्षायें पूर्व घोषित तिथियों के अनुसार ही सम्पन्न होगी।
2.  एलएल0बी0 (आनर्स) द्वितीय, चतुर्थ एवं छठा सेमेस्टर सत्र 2018-19 की नियमित कक्षायें 03 जनवरी   2019 से विधि विभाग, चैथम लाइन्स परिसर में प्रारम्भ हो रही है। एलएल0बी0 (आनर्स) द्वितीय, चतुर्थ एवं छठा सेमेस्टर की कक्षाओं में छात्र/छात्राओं की उपस्थिति 75 प्रतिशत अनिवार्य है।

The synopsis presentation of the scholars who have qualified CRET Level 2, 2018 is resecheduled and now it will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 10:30am in the Raj Shekhar Hall, Monirba.
Head, Department of Psychology, AU:
M.A./M.Sc. Psychology Semester II & IV classes will commence from January 09, 2019 in the Department. All students are required to attend their classes.

The suspected data list of all category of UP State Scholarship is uploaded on the University website (www.allduniv.ac.in) students whose name is there in the list are advised to submit the copy of scholarship form alongwith the documentary proof against the reason by which application falls under suspect data, for further resubmission to the relevant social welfare/ backward welfare/Minority Department situated at vikas Bhawan, Prayagraj latest by 07/01/2019.

The Viva-Voce of Mr./Ms. Imtiyaz Hussain, candidate for the D.Phil. Degree of the University on the subject of his/her thesis titled as, “Plant Responses to Allelopthy and Nanoparticles” will be held on 09/01/2019 at 11:00am. at the Department of Botany AU: by Prof. J.V.V.Dogra, and Prof. N.B.Singh. Members of the Academic Council are invited to attend but no T.A./D.A. will be paid.

DBT Sponsored workshop “Hands on techniques used in Biotechnology”

Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt of India sponsored Workshop “Hands on techniques used in biotechnology” has been organised by the Centre of Biotechnology, University of Allahabad during 17th December 2018 to 1 January 2019. Dr. Awadh Bihari Yadav was Course Director of the workshop. The chief guest of the workshop was Prof. B. D. Singh, Emeritus Professor, BHU Varanasi. The workshop started with the inauguration session in which Chief Guest Prof. B. D. Singh, Dean Science & Director, IIDS Prof. Jagdmba Singh and Coordinator, Centre of Biotechnology, Prof. M. P. Singh addressed the august gathering. The session started with welcome note by the Coordinator Prof. M.P. Singh who also through light on sequence of events on tools and technique from Mendelian era to advent of Genetic Engineering technique followed by PCR revolution and thereafter.  Prof. Jagdamba Singh described the importance of such workshop especially in reference to science teachers where practical is a very crucial. Prof Singh also told participants about importance of such type of training programme which help them to groom their teaching as well as also help to use expertise acquired in this workshop for their research work. Prof. B. D. Singh explained what’s the difference between image and impression. Prof Singh explained to the participant that image can be made by study and impression can be made by performing those theory based experiment in the science. Prof. Shanthy Sundaram, Ex-coordinator Centre of Biotechnology proposed the vote of thank to all the dignitaries and participants. The key idea behind such type of workshop is to train newly & young faculties who are working at University and degree colleges’ level with cutting edged tools and techniques used in the field of biotechnology. In this workshop participant learned different techniques used in the field of biotechnology which include gene cloning, Different immunological techniques, Chromatography techniques and microbial techniques in 2 weeks training programme. The workshop concluded on 1 January after 16 days hands on training of techniques used in the field of biotechnology. The resource persons of this worshop were: Dr. Sohail Akhtar, CDRI, Lucknow, Dr. Jyoti Pandey, BBAU Lucknow, Dr. Dinesh Kumar Yadav and dr. Rajeev Kumar Yadav, Department of Botany, UoA; Dr. Munish Kumar, Department of Biochemistry, Dr. Pramod Katara, Centre of Bioinformatics, Prof. Shanthy Sundaram, Prof. M.P. Singh and Dr. Awadh Bihari Yadav, Centre of Biotechnology, UoA.  In the Valedictory  session Prof. S.I. Rizvi, ex-head of biochemistry commented on important of such type of hands on training to the participant and also told them what’s is different between being a student and teachers.  Also he gave emphasis a training program should be organised how to write a proposal for project funding. Prof Rizvi distributed certificate to the participant. Dr.Munish Kumar, Department of Biochemistry proposed vote of thank. Dr.PramodKatara, Centre of Bioinformatics was also present there.
