University Employment Information & Guidance Bureau (UEIGB) is located in the Science Faculty Campus of the University of Allahabad. This was established in the year 1961 under the joint auspices of the University of Allahabad and the Department of Employment and Training, Government of Uttar Pradesh. The Bureau provides employment information and guidance to the students and the alumni of the University.

University Employment Information & Guidance Bureau is also helping the students in the following manner:

  • career Counseling and Guidance
  • organizing expert lectures regarding carrier opportunities & personality development by eminent scholars from Academia & experts from the Industry
  • their educational and vocational planning and
  • offers them employment and training information/advice
  • provides news on employment trends
  • recruitment methods
  • occupational reviews
  • scholarships and fellowships in India and abroad
  • assistance in getting part time/full-time employment/self employment and
  • seeking admissions in various institutions and universities
  • conducts surveys and arranges special classes for various competitive examinations
  • collection of vacancies and submission of suitable candidates list to the employer and achieve placement as per C.N.V. Act, 1959
  • provides information of competitive examinations conducted by various institutions
  • provides entrepreneurial guidance to the students to start their own business under the self-employment scheme
  • arranges Industrial recruitment fare and help the candidates for employment
  • personality development and career guidance workshops at constituent and affiliated colleges
  • soft skills training workshop
