In pursuance of quality training and proving as a distinguished centre for motivating teachers towards the academic frontiers in higher education, UGC-Human Resource Development Centre, University of Allahabad on the eve of ‘Valedictory session’, successfully concluded its 123rd Orientation Course on 13th March, 2019. The occasion was graced by the valuable presence of chief guest of the event Prof. Ishwar Saran Vishkarma , Hon’ble Chairman, U.P. Higher Education Commission, Prayagraj, dynamic Prof. R.K.Singh, Hon’ble Director - Human Resource Development Centre, UoA, Prof. Ashish Saxena, Coordinator of the 123rd Orientation Course, Human Resource Development Centre, UoA.
In all around 80 participants across the disciplines covering various Universities/Colleges of the country actively attended the valedictory session. At the outset, Prof. Ashish Saxena, Coordinator and Head, Dept. of Sociology conducted the programme and welcomed the dignitaries with the floral bouquet and followed by the outline of the said course. He shared the experiences in running the academic event and the diversity of resource persons with rigorous interdisciplinary framework. Prof. R.K.Singh gave the formal welcome speech He briefed about the overall outline of the 28 days academic event. He emphasized the relevance of orientation and the congratulated the participants for successful completion of the said course. He also offered token of memento to the chief guest and top ranker participants of the course. At this juncture, chief guest of the event, Prof. Ishwar Saran Vishkarma , Hon’ble Chairman, narrated the relevance of Indian culture. He emphasized the exploration of the education and learning from the past and projected the uniqueness of the ‘Bharat’ as a model of significance for the rest of the world. He motivated the participants for holistic indigenous approach towards attainment of academic goals. He also spoke about the need for retention of cultural rigour with modernity. The event was followed by the certificate of participation to the participants by the chief guest. The participants also shared their experiences as learner’s and appreciated the diversity of academic activities. They also appreciated the homely comfort and sincerity of the team of the Academic Staff College, University of Allahabad. The valedictory session ended with formal vote of thanks and lovely memories of the participants. The event was duly supported by the efficient staff of UGC-Human Resource Development Centre, University of Allahabad.
