        In past, the department had organized the IMS conferences twice: first in 1959 which was inaugurated by Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru (the then Prime Minister of India) and the second in 1981 which was inaugurated by Sri V.P.Singh (the then Chief Minister of U.P.).
